Brown Boobies are residents of the Gulf of Mexico/Caribbean area, however, this female decided to hang around way out of her range among the Cormorants all the way in New Jersey!Our first look at her was from a bit of a distance, but she ended up perching on a sign that was in the path of our boat and gave us an amazing look. There were a lot of boats passing through, but we stuck around so that everyone could get good looks.

I am really enjoying all of your photo's. I'm discussing birds like this that I didn't even know about. Yes - I know of red and blue footed boobies but not just a brown boobie.
