Description
That's right. You guys have to deal with another one of these half-assed tutorials.Firstly, I apologize for the fact that Amaya looks about 5 years younger than she's supposed to. It just kinda happened.
Secondly, the "hobby artist" comment up top is thanks to a fellow "professional" deviant around here who loves to push the fact that she gets paid to do art and that hobby artists shouldn't express their opinions... I don't like pretentious people. If you don't like what someone says, disable comments.
Whew... I think I'll stop now.

I thought art WAS a hobby.
just because you make a career out of it doesnt make you any less a 'hobby artist'. XD

Yeah, that was a sort of response to another artist around here who loves to act more important than everyone else just because she gets paid to color. Therefore, she's a professional and shouldn't have to deal with all our "hobby artist opinions". Pah. Whatever.

Yeah, I can imagine that being a career artist could be quite nerve-wracking.

Thank you for the tutorial!
It's very nice of you to take your time and share your skills with everyone, without getting payed
I like the shading in the last, finished picture.

Thank you kindly... I figure, it shouldn't make a difference if you're getting paid to draw. An artist is an artist.

what jackass call u a hobby artist ? and who died and made her gods gift to the art community ? comments like that are made by little people with little tiny brains and no eye for true talent . so you just keep rockin' bro .

Yeah, it wasn't a direct comment, but rather a journal in which she expressed her feelings towards the opinions of non-paid artists.

good art is always an inspiration =^.^=
tutorials always turn my art into a mess though
guess I have my own way of doing things, and that just interferes with learning. oh well.

I understand that! Many times, after looking over someone else's tut, I'd end up really screwing up whatever I would draw...

or feeling like it isn't really your work, or something
extracting ideas though, that's the way to go

as i recall, being a professional means that you have gotten paid to do your art. and i also recall that you have been paid to work your wonders on more than one occasion.
sooo.....
said "professional" should get her head out of her ass and stop trying to look down her nose on other people's work.
i hope it doesn't rain where she is. with her nose turned up like that, she will most certainly drown.

My biggest problem with the hobby artist thing is this: who do you think is buying the books? Non artists and (hobby)artists alike. If you get some good crits from someone who has an eye, you should accept it and try to improve it. It can't hurt sales to make something better, you know?

right. but i think that to sit there and publicly attack someone's work... it's tactless and shows a great level of insecurity in a person's own work.
