Hi~ I just got Paint Tool Sai and I'm having a little problem... Whenever I use the Magic Wand Tool, my entire image turns blue... How can I fix that?

that's what the selected area looks like when the tool in default is magic wand and select brush when you click on other tools it turns into a selection like the one in photoshop.

hello there! I just wanna ask, is it possible to use mouse in SAI? I mean can we get the same output if we're using a mouse since not all of us have tablet to use. I don't know if what's better photoshop or SAI? I'm just a mouse-user so I want to know. Thanks so much if you're going to reply to me. Have a nice day!

You can use a mouse on basically any paint program. :3 As for output you might need to be a little more specific on what you mean.
For programs that all depends on your personal opinion. I personally use paint tool sai with my tablet and I have never used photoshop before as you have to pay a lot more money for it than sai.
I know I'm probably not who you were expecting to answer some of your questions but.. I hope it helps a little! ^^

I mean better output, more beautiful. I used SAI before but I didn't get what exactly what I want. I used the trial version. And I don't know how to use the wand in it....But hey, thanks for answering though.

thanks :3 , but maybe later. as my style changed and my current colouring method much more complex than this one. it's very difficult to make a tutorial.

When I select an area with the wand tool and colour it with the bucket tool, I end up with a thin white outline inside my lineart.
How do you prevent that?

paloiu222 In reply to duckmeow [2012-01-31 02:51:29 +0000 UTC]
But how do I get that?
Clean it up manually with the eraser tool or..?

Change the setting of your brush.
Cleaning up helps as well.

Sorry to be a bother, but which settings exactly to I change?
Is the one that has "Fuzystatic, Noise, Spread, Circular...etc." ?

duckmeow In reply to paloiu222 [2012-01-31 20:56:03 +0000 UTC]
Simple circle should work fine.

paloiu222 In reply to duckmeow [2012-02-01 10:33:12 +0000 UTC]
Is it the same as "Circular"? Maybe I'm using a different version of SAI.
But it still left a thin white outline.

Oh. Then my advice is to fix it manually? I don't usually work with SAI, but I don't remember it doing that.

Oh well. I guess I'll fix manually then.
Thanks for bearing with me.

Few question
Whats a luminosity and Clipping Groups?
I see this and tried but i still don't get it... =_=
Can explain please?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
myhilary In reply to kellytwp01 [2011-05-31 13:30:05 +0000 UTC]
= = clipping groups its like... when you made some layers for colouring hair and you want to put more layer for shade or ect. if you clipping shade layer to hair surface layer you can fill it and thoese shade will not spread out of hair surface colour.
luminosity layer use for lightning. i think if you try it you can understand by yourself. may be?

the shapes are little different. the pencil best for lineart and brush use better in blending.
