EDIT [April 24. 2012] ...got 1000 faves.... wow... I'm surprised, really ;_; if you want to find me check the local hospital as I have fainted from shockEDIT [April 23. 2012] This was on EqD.......kkhhghvnvnhjnvhnvvvb.....that was my head slamming the keyboard as I fainted from how surprised I am..right now my fingers are shaking from the excitement... I think I'm going to die
not to mention..I've almost reached 1000 faves! my brain doesn't know how to handle this!! WAT DO?! :A;

In case you haven't figured it out yet I LOVE this episode. I just had to draw Princess Cadence and Queen Chrysalis
Am I the only one wondering how it went down when the Queen captured Cadence? Must've been an epic battle or something, or they caught her sleeping...or maybe she disguised herself as Shinning Armor...or I don't know what I'm talking about XDAnyways, I'm pretty proud of this piece...drew it in under 3 hours... now if only I could get commissions done this quickly

I'm thinking longer, as in she was laying in wait and only brought up the threat when her plans were almost about to start.
the reason I think this is because she MUST of gotten a LOT of love power to overpower Celestia herself, so that's why I think she was there longer.

Paint tool sai. Then I blurred a few things and messed around with the colors a bit in Photoshop Elements 5 ^^

That's what I was hoping you'd say... If I may ask a tip, if you have the time: For the lining, do you use Ink Pen?

The ink pen as in the vector layer? No, I actually use the normal pen... as in the one next to the airbrush pen. I also use a tablet if that helps. I find that it helps with making smoother line art while keeping it thick as in the MLP style

Really awesome piece. The finale exceeded my expectations quite a bit. I love the coloring of this, and the expression on Cadence. Chrysalis looks really good and her face shows her character well. This is seriously impressive considering this was done in under three hours. Wonderful job.

hmm, now that you mention it I do see a bit of lion king... more so the first one though when simba fought against scar with all the fire in the background. Maybe thats how the battle between Cadence and Chrysalis went down XD

MLP: Friendship is Magic? Yup.. got aimed at daughters and fathers.. and was quite successful in that regard, resulting in ridiculously large amount of adult males in the fanbase^^'
Lovely animation and stories, nice interaction of the creators with the fanbase, a big, productive and friendly fandom (which increases the fun by A LOT)..
So from my point of view: It's a surprisingly awesome, modern animation series - nothing you would expect under that franchise, considering how awful and cheesy other MLP generations tended to be.
