I don't get why I'm drawing things for Sovereign City like it's due next week, but I JUST CAN'T STOP. I-I am in love with this tournament.

Appearance: Gavin wears all black, all the time. His core body temperature is around 89° F. His clothes insulate him, and keep him warm when the weather acts up. Luckily, Sulis, which is located in what used to be Paraguay (and I say "used to" because Gavin's world exists around a thousand years in the future), rarely drops below 95-100° F. His hair has been permanently bleached and his skin is tan from the generations of his people that lived out in the sun. The tattoos on his face were done shortly after he was born, as a tribute to the Sulis' main goddess, Ulu, who is said to have total control the elements, and they practically regard her as the earth itself. Gavin also has no fingernails, or toenails. The nerve endings in his fingers and toes trail off into a system of roots, and nails have no point if they're not protecting sensitive nerves. So, Gavin's hands and feet are immune to pain. You can break them in half, he just won't feel it. Feel free to beat him up everywhere else, though. He'll definitely feel that.

History: Gavin is not a badass. He's sheltered, spoiled, and eager to please. He's never been hit, and the only time he's been physically hurt was when he tripped over a rock when he was a kid. He, like many of the Suli people, was an attempt to reincarnate the goddess Ulu. He was extremely unsuccessful, other than the fact that he can make things grow. He and Opal shared the same surrogate mother, technically making them siblings. Because of this bond, Opal can use him as a messenger, sending him out into the world to gather information and spread the knowledge that the revolt is coming. When Gavin was a kid, he lived with the other children of his generation, being pampered and fawned over in hopes that the goddess Ulu would be pleased and make an appearance in one of them. His talents in growing made him a favorite among the teachers. When Opal was born, Gavin was eight years old. By the time Opal was five, and could preform many basic tasks on her own, Gavin was practically glued to her side. Everyone, and no one more so than Gavin, thought that Opal was Ulu. The two formed a special bond, despite Opal's reserved, and malicious personality, and he became her messenger when he was around 14 years old.

Sulis: Sulis is a small community in central Paraguay that came to be around 1000 years from now. It is remote, and difficult to access, surrounded by mountains and dry stretches of grasses. The people who inhabit it are generally happy when they're left alone, but all share a pretty common hate for humanity.

Personality: Gavin is an idiot. He's pompous around anyone other than Opal, as well as egotistical, whiny, and naive. He thinks he's immortal (which he isn't) and the best thing since sliced bread (which he really isn't). He's also relatively harmless, unless you piss him off, and the easiest way to do that is to insult him, his people, his world, or Opal. If you don't do anything to make him upset, he'll stay happy and dumb, and give you flowers. If you try to fight him, he'll warn you about that being a bad idea. If you ignore him, he'll probably fight back. If you have the upper hand, and beat him to the point of near-death, he'll try to get away from you, but it's unlikely he'll get far before Opal takes over his body. The big difference between Gavin and Opal is that he honestly doesn't want to cause any damage, but she'll go searching for things to destroy.

Fighting Style: He doesn't want to fight, first and foremost. Unless he's pissed off. Otherwise, have some flowers. 8| He uses his plant controlling before he uses his shifting.

Fighting Strengths: He may be able to shift into anything organic, but he's better with water than anything. Good with taking most of the natural attacks, meaning those using fire, water, and earth. Better with long range. If he reaches the point where Opal takes over his body, he can reach the point of immunity. In this state, he's a pro with all shifting, as well as plant-based attacks.

Fighting Weaknesses: Terrible when it comes to ice, cold, guns, machinery, and Tupperware. All of those are pretty equal in their levels of awfulness to him. He's also physically weakened when one or more of the plants that he himself grows are killed.

The Seed: The Seed is what it's name suggests: a seed. Created by Opal out of nothing, The Seed is the only way that Opal herself can make an appearance in a location outside of Sulis. It's Gavin's job to take the seed and plant it in the heart of the city. Not until the seed successfully takes root and sprouts is it ready to transport Opal. Unlike regular plants, Gavin cannot help The Seed grow whatsoever, even though his power is to grow things. The Seed grows on its own time. Gavin's main goal in the competition is going to be to plant The Seed.

Miscellaneous: When Gavin speaks English, he does not use contractions (ie he says 'will not' instead of 'won't'). Gavin is not a vegetarian. He doesn't like taking off his clothes, but he does change them occasionally. He thinks showers are for poor humans. His favorite flowers are gazanias. He's incredibly flexible. He thinks the idea of recycling is hilarious and regards it bitterly. He will kill his closest friends if Opal tells him to.
