Description
***FULL VIEW PLEASE***This was taken outside of Marietta Square on top ore the parking deck.
Pain in the arse to stitch together (4 shot; over 90 degree angle), and i know the stitching is far from perfect, but I hope it still viewable.

wide angle stitches are tough cause you get the warping thang on the horizon.
you did a good job compensating for that, though. it's not too far off. i just had to do a project like this with that qtvr proggy on mac. my teacher said it's best to shoot at 50mm, vertically and to shoot so the pics overlap almost halfway. you end up with more photos to stitch together, but it becomes more real looking.
just some tips if you decide to try this again...good job nonetheless

Wow, that's cool and it looks kind of unreal. Heheh, I can almost feel the breeze standing on top of the building. Stitching isn't bad, I can't say much because I've never actually tried to stitch photos together. Must be tough though. What might make it easier is if you had the cam on a tripod, so it remained at the same level and angle as you rotated it to shoot. Still, awesome photo!

haha, the cam was on a tripod. but to get it to get the guard rail out of view, i had to nestle it right up the corner, which was a bit off kilter - thus providing the hard to stitch job. i appreciate your encouragement, hon!

nice view hey. The stitching isnt too bad, it is noticeable, but still, better than nothing, and even nothing would be better than i what I've done. Can I suggest using something like quickmask in photoshop to help make the stitching less noticeable ...

myndbyndr In reply to jsnfwlr [2004-04-28 12:49:29 +0000 UTC]
i actually used a couple of methods. Panorama Factory first, which is by far the best stitching program out there. Then some layer masks in pshop, and then some repairing with the stamp clone. The angles of the horizons of each of the pics were a bit more extreme that expected, therefore giving me a much harder stitching time. Thanks for the comment!
