Description
Aah, Sobble, the depressed lizard - or amphibian, who could tell? Maybe its just all an act? To be or not to be? That is the question. Anyway, Sobble's cameleon features and its ability to 'cloak' or 'camouflage' itself made me go the obvious route. That is something I usually don't like to do, but this time I did. The mid-stage is really just a sad cameleon or at least it pretends to be all blue (pun not intended). I should have given it a 'skull' in its hand like Hamlet, lol. The final evolution makes this line a bit more interesting. The theme of acting and pretending to be somebody else ends up in a big hoax that results in a legend. No, the final evolution is not a legendary Pokémon but it acts like one. Hiding in a lake (or several), attracting tourists from other regions. Some even speculate that it is just a Lapras that can be found in the lake district of the Galar region. The long neck could fool a lot of people and Pokémon (Gastly, Haunter and Gengar would love this guy). So, is it based on the Loch-Ness monster? Yes, partly, but more so a creature known as 'the Eachy'. A creature with the head of a python and the body of a man, hence the upright position I gave this fellow. It has also been reported as a sea serpent. It is said to be both slimy and rather terrifying.
But where would one find such a monster? In the Bassenthwaite Lake and/or the Windermere, the Lake District National Park, Northern England. Huh, I thought I saw some bodies of water on the Galar region map, coincidence? I think not. So that leaves us with three water-living creatures, big lakes and maybe some mist on top of that, making a rather eerie atmosphere. They can also potentially 'turn invisible'. And the big guy is a darn monster. What types does that leave us? I am giving them water, water and water/ghost.

Water/ghost for me too. And yes strange shapes on the map spotted, that is a funny and easy way to represent the imaginary of a lake monster. Your line is really well done and explained under every detail...oh, and, I like you did not added a skull to the final stage because that would have been too easy indeed. However, you could have put a rounded tail end to recall the skull

That typing just makes sense to me (and many other people). And yea there are plenty of deep lakes in Northern England after the ice age and such.
That tail idea is pretty cool but I was thinking of the idea that when it opens its mouth, its tongue would be quite terrifying like some kind of monster, ghost or an evil spirit coming out. Like hey, you got your normal looking lizard mon but all of a sudden a ghost appears as it opens its gob.

Oooh, that would be much more unexpected and remarkable!
