Description
Sie liebten sich beide, doch keinerwollt' es dem andern gestehn;
sie sahen sich an so feindlich,
und wollten vor Liebe vergehn.
Sie trennten sich endlich und sah'n sich
nur noch zuweilen im Traum;
sie waren lΓ€ngst gestorben
und wuΓten es selber kaum.
Heine

I like that even though they look so emotionless it seems that they can feel each other still and are very close emotionally.
Another excellent shot!

you look very pretty in this one
the last one kinda reminded me of ~kentsoul's series WWOM .. not sure if u know it.. was a good series.
anyhoo... i love the feel and look on this image
the only (shameless nitpick) crit i have to offer... is that i think it would (maybe) have been better if his chin was bigger in such a way that the cropping would cut it the same way it did yours ... but the position on his eyes and lips is perfect
ok.. nuff ranting.. this is awsome.. i so much love watching your work

gorgeous lovely texture, your expressions are great too. and with my very limited german i'd say the image goes very well with the description.

Very Julie Taymoresque. Reminds me of some of the make up jobs that she would do for her wild Shakespeare adaptations.

I know little of German, but the image is powerful enough to span universes. So my interpretation may be very far from the origin, but you appear to be frozen in preservation, some dry relic whose soft expression suggests living history and vivid streams of consciousness welling underneath. Amazing technique and application, absolutely true to form. You make humanity more appealing, in all its appalling splendor. X

wow!
the shot itself is really wonderful, face on face with your loved one (i guess) and this textures on your faces intensing it all, just eternally... and this poem, omg, haven't read heine since my schooltime, and its perhaps the most beautiful thing he ever written, not to mention how perfectly it fits to the whole scene... wonderful, really just wonderful

I truly like this piece a lot. The look in your eyes, i like the rather miserable look of the left one. l myself am a fan of those poems, this is one of the rare moments l feel lucky that my mother language is german. Does the poem have a title?
and..Sprichst du auch Deutsch?

err, l mean the person on the right, not left one. left, right, right or left, its always been tricky for me.

didn't know you speak german, too.
again incredible work on motive and alteration (or do you say altering?), but i don't like the composition that much, or said properly, the all-over-grey (nice colors though) and the cut of the left face.
but still a very stunning piece, as usual
k.

i like heine. and i like depressing poems. they touch me more than poems dealing with happy endings.
and your skin looks transparent. a fact which made me stare at your face for quite awhile.

Wonderful, Asya....
"They loved each other once....seperated....saw each other in dreams..." My German is terrible, but your image is beautiful...and fills in where my translation fails.
Naturally this is a +fav. It goes without saying....
