Description
The Thagomizer-Class was the much maligned predecessor to the Sledgehammer, Warcarrier, and Rampart class of bombers developed by Elsinore-Cordova Engineering. The Thagomizer was well shielded, reasonably well armed, and carried a huge amount of repulsor-propelled bombs which would descend from it's bay. It had horrible crew ergonomics however. It's method of landing required the whole vessel to turn 90 degrees. While the cockpit crew would be able to rotate; the gunners below had to make do with tight seat restraints and eventually crawling out of the exit hatch. It's debut was at the Battle of Hoth where the defensive nature of the fighting restricted it's effectiveness significantly. Nearly all were destroyed. Some were salvaged by scavengers and resold to criminal organizations. Notably the Exchange had purchased one to bomb Sand People on Tatooine where it succumbed to the sand storms and once again crashed.
