I think you did her quite well, and that background adds a lot of "live" to this picture. I also like her cloth - no idea why... maybe because you did a good job on subtle folding ^^.
The only thing I recognized - her hands look very reddish, like they might be burned. I don't know if that's part of the character - I didn't look at the character sheets.

Yes - I find that I get better if I stress myself in some competitions, also is good opportunity to practice digital art.
Hands look reddish because I've used mine as reference, and it was really hot out there, my hands are super sensitive to warm and cold, and they were quite reddish at the moment. That and also I might have exaggerated with the tones
