I got asked a while back to sketch some creatures for a magazine called Concepteez and these are the creatures that I came up with for the magazine.It had to be done in traditional medium. Made on fairly rough A4 sized paper with HB pencil, black ballpoint pen and white gelpen.
I edited it in photoshop afterwards (upped the brightness/contrast and messed with the levels).

The second frame is the best. The guy beneath the sting rays looks like Stitch.

Huh, that one in the center beneath the flying manta rays looks an awful lot like Stitch from Lilo & Stitch if he was done realistic.
To be clear -- Not saying this as a bad thing, it's actually neat to see it done realistically.
