Both of these guys are thieves who traveled through time in order to save the world.

BTW: You guys now see what your beloved Grovyle looks like in my PMD story. I gave him a leaf-like cloak w. hood so when there's a glimpse of him, instead of playing who's that pokemon with his silhouette, there's an actual mystery behind his identity. Also, He can fire leaves from his coat like throwing knives.

I feel like both of them would relate from on another. I'm also considering making Grovyle an actual thief in my story since it'll fit what I'm about to say.

They both told their time travel stories and while Sly had his Family History on the line, Grovyle was trying to save all of time and space. His philosophy also intrigues Sly: How he would rather live a short life and do something important, rather than live a long life and do nothing to help better the world. While Grovyle is impressed with Sly's legacy and all the challenges the Cooper Clan has come across over the generations.
