Description So, I couldn't find anything regarding the layout of the various rooms that can be found inside of Minecraft Strongholds. With this as inspiration, I took it upon myself to make my own.

I used 's Latest Generic Block Set and Grid (I had to add my own block for torches, but the rest were from his sheet). Dude's awesome, go check him out.

Hey dude, think you could make one for the small library as well?

Do you mean the village library? If so, check ColtCoyote's collection. He's got the village floorplans. Unless there was a new addition yo Minecraft I haven't become aware of. I honestly haven't played it recently because I have no power at home and my laptop is just a bit too weak to run Minecraft even at low settings.

Oh no, there have always been two types of libraries in strongholds, a large one with two levels and then a small single level one.

Check the wiki for strongholds, it lists both kinds in the 'structures' tab under 'libraries'.

Huh. I was not aware of this. When I unearthed my stronghold, it had 5 libraries, and all of them were two-floor. I could try again once I get power back though

Cool, thanks. I've been restoring a stronghold on a mutliplayer server for a while now, been adding more rooms and floors to it. Has to big libraries but I want a small one somewhere but as you may know, it's impossible to find real layouts for stronghold rooms online, you're the first competent person I've found that's actually made blueprints and such.

For a long time now I've wished the MC wiki would add module isometric images or blueprints to the image galleries for all forms of structures like Strongholds, Villages, Desert Wells, Desert Temples, Jungle Temples, the new underwater temple... it just annoys me really that there are all these cool looking structures and nobody has yet explain their construction. The only thing I found close was a set of videos on YourTube that talked about how to build an NPC village in vanilla (which I would link you to if you'd like).

Well, if you're desperate to find single-floor libraries, you could do what I did and start a superflat world with a layer of bedrock, and like, 60 some odd layers of sand. That's how I cleared my Stronghold for the blueprints.

Found a small library! ^^

Basically the only change is that it's a mirror flip of the first floor to the large one, so the entrance and singe chest shown in the above picture are flipped to the other side of the room (so the entrance is one the left side int eh above pic and the chest is on the right side). The ceiling is stone brink, not wood. The ladders areΒ  gone and I'm fairly curtain the torch placement is exactly the same as in the large one. Does all that make sense?

Well, the thing with the blueprints is they can all be mirrored due to procedural generation. But congratulations

Guess what I found out.

Strongholds only have like, 8 unique rooms (counting the hallways.) They are: Library, End Room, Cells, Stair junction, 4-Four Junction, Chest Hall, Straight Stairs, and Spiral Stairs.
