i don't steal adopts i check with the owner before i use a templetΒ and i sell mine at a decent price and i have a main account and i will defiantly fav this to make it more widely seen.

Some people post adoptables on their main and don't have
more than one account.Β I hide my commentsΒ for cleanliness
and privacy between me and a buyer, but that's just my way
of doing things. of course all adopt makers do things differently,
and you can't always just pin these signs down on one person
solely because they hide comments or don't have rules. just
my opinion!Β

Yeah, I was gonna say that differing drawing styles can be just that they used different bases.
If it's all different background designs[[Something super beautiful to something super simple??]]and/or different colouring styles all together is what I would consider the red flag.

I hope this really gets passed around and helps buyers. The only thing I won't do is give my main account. I wanted this one to be completely apart from my main but that's just me. :3
I did have a nasty run in with an adopt maker last year. The account was a shared between 3 girls and they each did their own thing. I bough a hatch-able adopt and waited the waiting period of a week. I saw that everyone else in the batch was hatched except mine. I asked her how it was going and she said she'd have it done in a week. It tool me....A YEAR to get this stupid thing. I was really nice and patience at 1st(mainly cuz I forgot all about it XD) the I got pissed. a few months in the girl that was doing the hatching QUIT the account but another girl from the account offered to do it. I'd message once a month asking how it was going.Β Around 8 months she flipped her shit at me telling me she wasn't going to do it or give my points back. I was so pissed, I posted bewares about her on DA and in my Facebook groups. After publicly calling her out she did it. And it's one of the most basic adopts I've ever gotten. I sure as hell was not worth the wait nor the points. She told me many times that she was going to delete the account, I hope she did cuz no one should have to deal with that.

I had sold an adopt in my first week, however, I had an icon available from my main account, which is over a year old. I also use bases for my adopts, since I make them on my chromebook.Β

this is nearing 3 years old now.
And kreoko has a Main account linked properly in their IDΒ They aren't a new Deviant, Just a new account with proper credit to where their normal work can be seen.

that one tickles me. if people use premade lineart, of course it's going to be different styles XD
i used a mix of premade lines as well as my own art. doesn't make me a thief.
I also don't have rules on my adopts, unless they are from my original artwork or its an auction. premade lineart, i expect users to use their common sense XD.
I also watermark adopts made from my actual art, doesn't mean i'm stealing either.
though i suspect people will ignore that i have a link to my main account in my ID soo...

You can use differing linearts and still have a similar 'designing style'
Linearts don't Make or break a design oftentimes. But if you see a account using nothing but MS paint with 'lower quality' designs. then suddenly they are posting the mona lisas of designs from photoshop or the like,Β that look nothing like their work no matter the lineart- then theres a thing to be said.
I'm not assuming you are stealing, and most people who comment on this seem to think the image is aimed at them haha. This isn't to attack anyone, or point fingers. but it is to raise awareness for buyers. As i have seen well over $50+ in points (collectively) go down the drain from thieves [from myself as well as others.]

I never have rules on my adopts. Unless it's something like an auction adopt. I also hide comments on actions to show they are closed and also mark them as closed in the discription. But it's true some people are just sick and try to resell others adopts just to make a quick buck.

Since I'm a mobile Deviant, it's generally hard for me to upload stuff to sta.sh. I can't put water marks because I can't upload to sta.sh. I just tell the buyer to save the picture as is, and I'll just place it as closed. ;3;
