These guys can get pretty big! They need to have their own tank! (and they'll eat any smaller fish in there with them.)

Well, it definitely was the only fish in the tank!
Long ago, at a "mom & pop" store I frequented, they had an Oscar in a large tank~a HUGE fish that seemed to glow! It fascinated us youngsters who were there to buy and trade comics and paperbacks. Virgil also had a very old, very fierce parrot and a Weimaraner who seemed to stand guard on the stairs to their upstairs living area; that dog looked so eerie on those shadowed steps, seeming to barely move ever.

They can get to be around a foot long.
I used to raise convicts a long time ago. Cool looking but not nearly as big.

Next time I go to Walmart (probably Wednesday), I want to try some more snaps. I don't think they've had anymore shrimp, but I think there's a tankful of oscars~though it takes only a few of those to make a tankful. Maybe I'll get some fairly good images out of it.
The last few times I've been out to run errands, I haven't taken any photographs. Maybe I need to get back in the mood.

Sometimes, when I'm "under the weather" or the weather is indeed bad, it seems too difficult to get my camera out of my purse. Other times, I'm snapping clouds, landscapes, etc. I'm hoping that Wednesday will be a "snap-happy" day for me.
