Description Mines for the BEST battle on

I did this piece for 5 reasons=

REASON(and most important reason)1= SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON! SPOON!

REASON 2= Celebratin' my new membership to the S.O.L. CREW Some of my favs, and best friends up in that. So @!$&in' glad to be part of it!

REASON 3= Always wanted to draw a piece that looked like cotton-candy tastes like

REASON 4=It's been my dream to design a "Young Ones Animated Series" and/or The Tick remake.

REASON 5= All talented people (not sayin' I'm one of them) should be like the Tick. He is the fastest, strongest, and most invulnerable. Everyone knows it......except for the Tick. He isn't tryin' to show people up, or be the best, HELL NO! He is just doin' what he believes in. He is tryin' to be the mighty tide of justice. No vanity, just childish ambition.

I love the tick so freakin' much. The cartoon and the show kicked so much ass, really wish it was still on, but I guess some people where like WTF

Thanks man! Honestly man, I use any marker I can get my hands on. Always lookin' for new colors and types of markers. Really dig the Prismacolors though.

Have you tried copics? They're pretty beast! I actually prefer them over Prismas. But they're pricey as hell

Yeah I was really excited 'bout copics, but man they bleed like mad. I use them sometimes for large areas, but was kinda disappointed on how they worked on detail work. However, it might just be because I'm use to the prismas, old habits die hard.

Yeah your right. But I find that prismas tend to layer a lot, especially after the ink dries. Then it just looks like shit. Copics are pretty good with blending together.

I stick mostly with colored pencil anyway lol
Just easier to control and helluva lot cheaper

I need to get more into colored pencils man. I've got a great set, but just never use them. I have problems with them sometime though. I need to practice more with them.

I giggled when I saw this in my inbox. The tick is so goofy already, and you really took it to another level, hahaha. The highlights along his face make him look extra shiney. Like he's wearing a suit of plastic and then dipped in oil. The word itself is awesome too. I really dig the contrast between red and blue. Though, the red sorta melted into a greyish purple, and I don't think it compliments the Tick as well. Almost like they're two seperate pieces that happen to be close together. :c The middle blue does look good, though, and it's barely tying it all in. But it's there. SPOON TEXT IS SO RANDOM BUT IT'S THE TICK SO IT'S AWESOME. ♥

Yeah I was kinda disappointed that the Tick and the piece didn't blend in so well But alot of the times I base all my colors on the character I'm drawin'. So I thought I'd go a different route.....don't think I like it though. I loved drawin' the Tick, the headgear just went so well with my style LOL! I also really like drawin' goofy characters......wow, maybe I should draw Goofy

that makes me ask my question now: you do the fill first or the black ines and then filling colors on your sketched?
just qurious cos that is beyond epic in color use mate!

thanks DOSE! I was just on your page man, then your here..... weird. I try my best to do the fill first than the black line, but I usually do the line first. It's easy to @!$% something up if you do the black line first I did the black first on this one.
