This is for my good friend, and an artist I look up to a lot!
VIPER 
Sorry this took a bit to get to you man, my vacation from dA went a little longer than I meant it to.
My dA page says I have been here almost 3 years, the truth be told it's been like 1 and a half. I set it up in October of 2007, and didn't touch it for a long time. I had been struggling with....well...with graffiti. Everybody keep saying "you should be a tattoo artist" or "you need to write a children's book" or my personal favorite, "you need to draw greeting cards." I kept, well, trying to kill my love for graffiti. I mean don't I want to be a "successful" artist?
The first watches and favs I gave on dA weren't graffiti artist, I was trying to expand my horizons. If it wasn't graffiti, what would it be? Comics, fan art, photo realism? What was the new MYTH? I had always surrounded myself with graf, it was my world, and I wanted to take a trip to a new one.
Then I came across VIPER's work. He dripped with style and skill. I love how he just went with his gut, and his style just spilled out. Highly original is an understatement.
I also really looked up to his handies, a skill I had never learned. I loved how even is piece had that same handie feelin' . He really made me fall in love with graffiti again.
I decided that I need to really push myself to learn handstyle, throwies and well anything graffiti. I decided the my world would always have it's different places, but it would always be graffiti.......and it was an HONOR for me to share it with such a talented artist like VIPER!
Look up to you alot man, and thanks for helpin' me realize that true success comes from doin' what you love............and handies

A very long time ago, I decided to do what I love, and to be true to myself. It might not make me rich and famous, but I'm very happy. A lot of my friends and family, ask me what I'm going "to do" with my artwork.....I always tell them that I'm to busy makin' it to do anything with it

VIPER818 is indeed beyond original what i like most about is that his piece's are so damn fucking and sleek yet its as you said "his style just spilled out". His 50th wildstyle piece he did is still to this day my favorite of all time he fucking killed at the same time making it eligible which a lot of artist dont do anymore because they dont care if the average joe can read it or not. To me thats kind of misses the point you know? We risk going to jail, getting jumped, hell and on some spots getting killed all for the recognition of who we are. VIPER reminded me why i paint and still does to this day. As for your expansion of horizons i follow every kind of art anything that makes me think or catches my eye but lose track of where i started and why im doing it. Just remember "Open your arms to change, but donβt let go of your values."-Dalai Lama oh and for VIPER's handies still intimidated by them haha though i still think that CHAMP submission you put out was fucking INSANE god haha keep it up man and glad your back

Yeah VIPER blows my mind man, really just inspires the hell out of me. I remember the first day I came across his stuff
I'm all about all kinds of artwork. You have to be to be a "good" artist. I bring a lot of that different style to my graffiti work. I also tend to bring alot of graffiti to my other work.
I mean it's just like anything else someone wants to be good at, you have to learn as much as you can

Definitely i think everyone in a way needs to be like a sponge and soak up every bit of info that they can or at least the info that has to do with their passions in life. Also agreed VIPER is major nice dude i really hope he gets this clothing line started i offered help for the site or any kind of help with it at all. I think just working with VIPER will inspire my art and motivate me to start drawing hardcore again i have sadly taken a break from it all i regret it now because stopped for stupid reasons. Plus i really need to learn more about graffiti art and how to express myself through my art.SEVAS, you, VIPER hell all the graff dudes i follow do such a great job expressing there emotions and style i really need to find my own originality ya know

HAHAHA they do that shit to you TOO bro? man i must've heard that Tattoo and children's book shit like a dozen times lol until i finally gave in. seriously bro those childrens books pay dood. i just finished a job as an illustrator for a couple grand bruh and i KNOW you're way better than i am you might want to consider dabbling into it

Yeah my wife and I are workin' on a childrens book, but we have no time really. I mean the kid's book is awesome.....but got tired of that tattoo comment. I mean I love tattoo work, but man it just isn't for me

This is so glooooorioooouuuus. I just love how busy it is. It really explodes off the paper. The style you used on the frayed scrolls is really tight. Your sense of layering is so boss, ahhhh, the way you shadowed the green-and-red viper on top of the viper under it while simultaneously changing it's colors is...it's so beautiful!

Yeah it was wierd for me for a bit, I mean I want to "support" myself by makin' art, but I have to stay true! "I just love how busy it is." That is so amazin' of you to say, I think it is a turn off for some, but I like busy. Really inspirin' of you to say that. Also cool that you liked the shadow, I have been tryin' to work very hard on it.

OMG man. WOW!!! Dude is so sooooo amazing! I'm in love with this piece man, your ideas are just so great! That pencil taking the form of a snake, that is ridiculous! Not only that, the "Handie King" brought a huge smile to my face

Man actually I felt kinda bad my friend after I put HANDIE KING on there. Don't get me wrong man you are the king of handstyle, but man you a pretty much the king of everything else man. All your work is the definition of skill and style man.
