Hello. So lets start off by saying that this piece really stood out. The subtle yellow really add a great touch paired with that blue of the water. The rocks are nice but not really sure about the lighting and if it is correct. Same with the cat. they both seem to come from different directions. they way you did the trees was nice. the different colored grass was great. lots of grass though... i love the way you faded out the sky between the two colors. but all in all this is very pleasant piece to look at. i look forward to seeing more work e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

This piece looks amazing, and most of what I'll be saying is just been really nit picky, but oh well!
Detail: Everything from how you made the rocks look like they were actually going back and coming closer to the trees in the background are amazing! However, I do have the say the grass up close is a little too much. It still looks amazing, but the really dark strands mixed with the light distract (at least for me) the eye to them instead of the cat.
Cat: As always, I LOVE how you draw your cats. Only thing I really have to say is that cats tend to have just slightly softer jawlines, but it's nothing really noticeable.
Shading: Okay, you're shading GOALS. The light source shows that it's coming from the sunrise/set in the background very well. Only thing I have to say is that maybe even do a little airbrush shading very faintly around the cat's light parts to give it the sort of "glow" That light fur gives off in the light.
Overall, this piece is really, really good and a pleasure to look at!

Let's break this into sections.
1. SHADING:
I think the cell-shaded style works quite well for this piece! Though a more realistic shade would work better for this piece, I think the beautiful highlights in this piece really add to the overall sleepy atmosphere!
2. ANATOMY:
Your cat anatomy is great! Though, maybe you should try adding those little ear-flaps that cats have, instead of the almost ear-lobey flap you do have. Also, cats do not have clearly defined eyebrows, neither of these features affects the quality of the picture!
3. BACKGROUND:
Wow! There is beautiful detailing in the background! Though in some areas (such as the grass) it seems a little too detailed, this is still fine!

Nice pic, could use a little work but not too much.
