Don't take it wrong: I like to receive comments and feedback and stuff, but I can't force people to comment just because I say so, I'm not always comment on deviations I fave or fave devs I comment inThat's why if people has to say something, and comments, I will read it (maybe not always reply), but that won't quit the fact I appreciate that fave less

You know, I always tried to give to every fav a comment but deviantart don't like it if you comment that much.
After a while I always get those messages: 'couldn't comment cause the system thinks it's spam' -_-
So I gave it up and comment only work that I really like. The fact that I fav and run (lol, I don't run cause I'm watching the art for a while)
doesn't mean that I don't care. And I guess I'm not the only one with that problem with the spam deffense system of dA.
And btw... this is awesome art

yeah, I like comments, I like a good talk
but I don't like to receive lot's of comments just saying "lol" "nice" "looks cute" "haha funny"
as well, I don't always comment, so there I would feel you need to give and get
if you want to force everyone to comment, last thing you could do is reply and/or comment on everything you fave as well (or most of like in your case o_O)

Amen! Well said, exactly what I thought about this work.
Oh, I was never forcing people to watch/fav/comment XD Actually I have so many great artists/friends in my watchlist. That's the reason of the number of comments. Seriously: People who just want attention are wrong here on dA. It's about the joy of art and sharing inspiration. Maybe even to have some nice talks with friends.

When I do fave and run, it's because I can't think of anything to say, and I hate leaving one word comments. I hate getting one word comments, too, which is why I don't mind faving and running.

Couldn't agree more, I personally prefer people to comment on my art when they actually have something to say, reading comments that simply say "nice" and such make me go all like "Uhm... *scrolls up*"

I've made it a rule for myself that I always comment on the stuff my friends post unless it's fanart or just scraps, or if they post a ton of deviations in one day I'll probably just comment on one or two of them. I don't generally comment on really popular works that get comments all the time, though.

but telling 'comment before you fave' sounds like you are trying to force people to comment
instead of 'comments are welcomed' or 'please comment' which are more like... "encourage"
you can't force people to do things they don't want to... unless you blackmail, they are your slaves or something like that... but virtually, it's useless

I fav a lot of stuff. So takes me time to go throw all of it. Some there nothing but one word to sum the reason I fav you. My gallery has maybe 5 fav on this account in total of 3 accounts I have little over 10 comments. Total of 6000 page views ? 50 Watchers? and comment a lot on others works.
