Been playing Chrono Trigger recently and decided I wanted to paint the 'end of time' cuz it would be good lighting practice.This is half speed paint half actual digital painting XD I might go back in and refine some more details later....
That be the guru of time thar, he sleeps standing up there unless you go talk to him. He manages a pretty sizable nose-bubble when asleep >>;
EDIT: took out the fence and worked more on the ground...

It's actually Gaspar. The guru's 'English' names come from the 'magi' aka the three wise men who brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh to the infant Jesus in Christian tradition.

I still have to play Chrono Trigger from the emulator you gave me. But I've barely scratched the surface of FF VI. XD
Anyway, love the mysterious atmosphere of this one. The fog, the lonely man in the trench coat and that single visible landmark really tie together well. Beautifully done, Empy.

I've never played Chrono Trigger but this looks like a cool scene. I really like the colors you used! The mist/fog is a cool effect, too.

It's a great game! One of my all time favorites and often listed as one of the best RPGs of all time. It starts out in a semi medieval setting but you soon start to time travel all over the place, from the prehistoric era to the post-apocalyptic future (full of broken machines). The characters and plot is fantastic as well as the pixel graphis and the soundtrack.
