Description "I could actually do it. I could walk out of this world right now and not look back. But I can't. I can't do it. I'm not leaving without the people I promised to save."

Sooooo this little scene is from/inspired by a little-known adventure game entitled Grim Fandango. It's amazing, go check it out. It is especially amazing because there are a ton of little lines and events (such as the quote above) that aren't part of the main plot, and can only be found if you explore very, very thoroughly. It makes investigating incredibly fun.

Also, Aztec architecture. That. I'm not sure how they managed to mix that into 1930's environments so well.

;_; Oh, Manny...You started out as this over-worked, under-appreciated salesman who only wanted to get out and now look at you.

Environment/characters are copyright Lucas Arts and Tim Schafer.

Haha.............

THIS IS A SIGN I MUST START THIS GAME. Right now.

(as for the Aztec influences, Los Angeles as a LOT of eclectic constructions, especially in Hollywood, and especially from the 1930s) ^-^

YYYEEEEESSSS~

Though it's a little tricky to get your hands on. The only official way to play it is by getting a hard copy of the game. Thankfully there's an awesome guy who made a patch so you can play it on a modern system.

(AHA. Trivia. I've never been to LA...:c)

Also, I miss 1930's fashion.

Actually. I own a hard copy of the game. Didn't get around to playing it. XD;;

30s fashion was mostly a continuation of 20s fashion was it not ::doing what he can to bring it baaack::

HOW COULD YOUUU?!
Want a link to the patch I used? It helps you get past some of the bugs later on in the game, too.

Mmmm... sort of. Thirties fashion seems a bit more sophisticated and business-like from what I've seen. More angular. Ya, I dig the heck out of thirties and forties style. I think it's the suits.

I-I, I'll play it...! I just need to put down Star Control II, after playing it for the zillionth time. XD;;

Bugs huh? I'd appreciate that link~ (I still feel bad giving my friends the PS2 version of Psychonauts, instead of a PC version, cuz they had older video cards.)

DEM SHOULDERS. 8P

I'm having trouble getting the hang of the game play in that. I feel like I'm going to run out of fuel in the middle of gathering resources and be SOL.

Yeah, in year three there were some places where I couldn't get back to a previous area because of a glitch. Ta-da~ [link] The launcher's pretty useful, too. The windowed version looks about fifty times better than the full-screen.

Is the PC version better quality?

It's okay...! If you've already encountered the Melnorme, they'll actually send one of their ships to come give you emergency fuel in Hyperspace.
And of course, [Bright Star + Skittle-colored Planet/Moon = High Yield Re$ources]

Oo, okay. That'll save me a few headaches...!

Welll, at the time I had a beast of a video card so the PC version would load scenes 10x faster than the PS2 + no lag issues when there's a lot of stuff on the screen. ^~

Umm...'kay. I think I've run into them. I'll see if I can't get back into it. (Hopefully I'll get better at the battle system, too? )

Noo probs.

Oh, yeah. My Xbox Live version tends to be a bit glitchy with textures, actually. Raz keeps turning blue.

Also, um...um...

You need to see this, AJ. [link]

Or not.

They're the ones who look like a bubbly yellow blob with a giant blue eye. They always hang out at supergiant stars.
(ahaha, I think there's a multiplayer option, but I can't get it to connect)

Ew. Blue is the color of .

........................XD; That was amazing. I like how the animation quality really picks up at the end.

Yep, pretty sure I've met them.

Well, it was mainly his clothes. That and the ground in the main camping area went all patchwork textures on me once. Still an amazing game.

The Spine frowning. Forever.

What cracks me up is the fact that, though very loose and unfinished, there are parts of that video that are animated better than the actual opening. Of course, that's just my opinion. Ah, 90's.
