I like statues from a long time ago
their souls / minds, degraded to dust
a silent hell

That sort if permanent/death stuff is horrifying to me.

It's a subject that seems a bit sad to me, (though I like petrification)

I can understand how discouraging the victim is when he is trapped in his body. Without being able to be anything, and the amount of things that will happen while it is inert, but I am interested, what is going on in your mind for a million years, or longer, seeing the total destruction of your consciousness, is not the primordial, I prefer to see the phases, before it falls into a dark limbo, before being an empty shell.
but it would be interesting to see
what would happen if he restored, with all his pieces, to the victim after millions of years?, his conscience will be empty, true, but since he has again "meat" something can be done, I mean something to "reactivate his mind" or something for style, a story that the victim spends years to be normal, or just be a puppet of meat for the rest of his life.
are concepts of petrifaction that interests me, I wonder if an artist already, will, done something before.

I don't think they would be fully conscious, at least after some time they might just die.
If revived they might just lost memory and get a new conscious or some kind of soul-fragment of what they used to be

I'm just going to assume a story here:
These 7 girls were just minidng their own business when an invisible being petrified them, one by one. Whisking them away, "It" placed them on specially-made pedestals to keep in its gallery. That was centuries ago.
"It" has since passed away, but no one has found the girls. To this day, they continue to show their last activity, even as time and the elements slowly destroys their stony bodies. Some of them have already lost limbs...
Will these 7 innocent maidens be rescued from their horrible fate? And will their rescuer be able to repair their damaged bodies? Time will tell, or time will finish them off.
Yeah, it is a scary pic, but also one with a fair bit of tear jerker. GaitoS definitely knows how to come up with deep pics that have deeper meanings.

If "It" is capable of using magic is it possible that this creature could keep itself alive much longer than the human lifespan. Maybe that thing or person is still alive out there or "It" was killed by a group of heroes/vengeful people or other natural causes.Β
But besides that what would happen if these girls were found. Would people find out they were once people turned into stone or would people only see them as dressed up statues. And if people found out these were once living breathing girls could they be released from this curse? (If they don't die immediately after turning to stone/the soul leaving the stone body over a certain point of time.) Should they even be released from this curse if they are still alive or should we just smash the statues to release their souls? Or if they are now dead what do we do with these no longer living stone girls? Put them in a cemetery mausoleum, on display in a museum, break them, take their items and pretend they never existed?Β
If awakened, you're thrusting them in a time and culture they have no knowledge of and with people who have no idea who they are? Also the people they did know and love (Family, friends, loved ones, and pets.) have long since passed away. How can we help them deal with this?
P.S. It wouldn't hurt to note GaitoS to have your questions answered.

When I'm being paid, I rarely judge or question the ideas
I know it's a bit sad and disturbing to a level, but still, within what I can draw

I don't see why this is scary.
Maybe I just don't understand petrification well.

I mean think about it: From what I'm guessing They used to be REAL people.
Over time since they were turned to stone, they've grown dusty and practically have fallen apart from olden age, who knows HOW long they have been petrified. If someone freed them from their curse, chances are that one of them would no longer have an arm or a hand.

It is indeed, Again, It's nice practice for worn clothing and dust details

That would suck if they get un-petrified in that condition. :U

Hopefully someone knows how to repair them in that state... if they are found by someone who believes they can be saved...
