Following the events of Pokemon Platium: Giratina watches Dawn from the shadows as she returns home. It internally monologs about wanting to better understand humans and Pokemon. Since Dawn earned Giratina respect, it decides she is the best one to help it. (Whether she's aware of it or not.) As Dawn sleeps, Giratina turns into a shadow and possesses her. It plants suggestions in Dawn's mind to push her towards its goals. When Dawn wakes up, she decides to go on a new adventure. Under Giratina's influence, Dawn gives herself a full body makeover. Is should be a quick makeover montage where she dyes her hair, applies lipstick and eyeshadow, painting her nails, and puts on her new clothes. The final panel should be a full-body view of her new outfit.
Time skip several weeks, and Dawn tells Pokemon professor Rohan that she's discovered several new Pokemon from. She states how she felt drawn the places she found them and shows off her new Pokemon team.
Dawn then exits the lab to meet Marley, her friend, and invites her to travel with her. Dawn states she needs one more Pokemon as her steed, and summons Spectrier. The 2 get onto it's back and rides off to a new region.
