Description

In the film "I am not a Serial Killer", (SPOILERS ahead) I was very fascinated by the dynamic between the main character John and his demonic neighbor, Mr. Crowley. The cat and mouse game between the fledgling and actual killer, switching between who is the hunter and hunted was interesting.

They are opposites in some ways. John is a sociopath who feels disconnected form emotions and humanity. It tuns out that even a demon seems to have more emotions than he does, choosing to remain human out of love. They are both trying to be human with various land shifting levels of ease.

John becomes obsessed with Crowley, who allows him to be what he often keeps hidden. He not only gets to stalk and fantasize about killing someone, since he's not human, and it doesn't count, right? He also lives through Crowley through the man's murders, feeling envious, vicarious thrills of it.

Though Crowley makes him confront that part of himself, John does not want to be a killer. He has to try to be good, try to be human.

In my screen printing class, this will be my first project, so expect to see different versions of this as I try to make a print out of this.
