Description
This was the final project for my painting class. This idea was inspired by one of the books being read for my other class on monsters, with Stevenson's book being one of my favorites.

It's 24 by 12, the biggest painting I did for this acrylic class. This took around three weeks, with me working 4 or 5 hours every day between layers. I started out with a black and white layer and colored some over it. I was going to make the whole thing shades of brown until I found the gray added atmosphere.

I am going to make this a three part series, one including portraits from Frankenstein and Dracula as well.

Here's the original drawing, the one I liked so much that I went in blind with this painting because I didn't want to color over it.
