Description
This is the first of my acceptable concept pieces for Banshibito (Banshee beat). Which is the moniker of a new music project I have been working on. Banshibito is actually a Vocaliod (technically a Vocaldroid) of sorts. Being that she is comprised of several speech and voice engines. She is then phonetically sampled into my keyboard workstation where I gain even more control over her and she comes to life to sing or talk in full analog beauty. Of course being that she is hacked together from IA English and Japanese CeVIO and Vocaliod engines (with a whole lot of tweaking of my own) I started thinking of her as a bilingual, anime character as well. And as I worked on my demo, a story started to unfold in my mind. A story about a Vocaldroid in a post apocalyptic, futuristic, parallel world. Suddenly there seemed there could be this concept of the album being a transmission from a parallel universe. For now I am still recording the demo, but I had a pretty major set back on how I was thinking I could bounce down the vocal tracks. Though I do like a challenge.
