Nope. . . Did someone upload it there? I did upload it to ShareCG recently. I was going to put it on Renderosity, I just haven't got around to it yet.

You are most welcome. Can't wait to see what you do with it. Β
I made it awhile back, did one OK render and kind of forgot about it.
I was thinking last about doing a black and white version of the trans-angel from

with the symbol, right? i'm sure it would look amazing - i just can't bend my mind into imagining it - 2D & 3D mess with my mind. looking forward to seeing it

I hadn't considered the pride symbol. Β I was just thinking a tastefully done intersex angel. Maybe some different wings. It would be cool to eventually create the symbol in 3D.Β Β Another freebie idea!Β

portisHeart In reply to MythosArcane [2018-02-14 19:07:11 +0000 UTC]
the angel alone would be beautiful! ^^
hmm.. you could also have the symbol somehow glowing behind, like an ethereal.. power... soul... thing. mebbe 2 different pics...
oh yeah, i'm almost sure the very few free symbol packs in 3d like spacebone's don't include this one yet!

Found one on Yeggi a 3D printing search engine that referred me to this on Thingiverse with a CC attribution license. Was in .stl format but it converted to .obj no problem.Β I love the glowing idea! This is going to be awesome!Β Β Now I just need to find some better wings.

found both ^^ - neat sites, too, thx for the links. 3d print is sure cool, but yeah, as jewellry metal would be ideal, and there certainly are which around ^^. also thx for mentioning stl can be converted to obj.
i have a few wing props/figures, but i think they're all not so recent.. dunno really. also i think many wings come from... y'know ~ but i know it's gonna be great ^^
EDIT: Aviary wings @ rendo... promos seem great

No problem. I should mention I used 3D Builder in Windows 10 (Creators Edition) to convert. Pretty sure you can get it through the MS store for free if you are not using Win10 CE. I wad thinking may use the old wings with a faint glow and opacity cutoff map. If all else fails, I will just make what I have in mind in Zbrush.

aaah i don't use any win10 store apps - at all. the minimum programs/OS to run my laptop, but nothing from their shop, nor their browser/sound player etc etc. cuz, f*ck windows/MS, but too lazy/comfy for linux etc. but i'm sure there's another converter somewhere.
you're gifted if you can create something like wings in zbrush ^^

MythosArcane In reply to portisHeart [2018-02-14 22:10:40 +0000 UTC]
Not really.Β For one image I would do a basic shape with an Iray emissive shader and a cutoff map like I did with the book and magic effect in this image.

ok, this is a book, i'd say not the most difficult shape to create. but you're talking about wings... it's wayyyy harder/more complex/refined... and you think you can do it? i call that gifted...

It didn't say it wouldn't be a little bit of a challenge. Sculpting in Zbrush is actually not as difficult as most people think. It has symmetry; so what you do on one side mirrors on the other. It also has masking that paints on so only certain areas of the mesh move. It is like playing with digital clay. Only much easier because of the interface and all its awesome tools. You can download Sculptris for free if you interested in giving it a try. It is in no way as versatile as Zbrush but it give you a good idea of how it works.

had a look at the sculptris page.. it rang a bell. i could bet i either bookmarked it, or was about to dl it at some point.. but thx for reminding me. putting it in the back burner tho, i already have so many things/ideas/projects/scnes started, a few progs i installed and haven't even tried out properly (2-3 fractals, terragen, facegen demo, face-something daz plugin.. etc etc) - plus wings3d that i use for 3ds-obj conversion, plus poser debut that i got mostly for the content since many functions are switched off compared to poser however nice sketch mode and hey 5$, plus hexagon that keeps crashing... installet yet another app that will just gather dust right now is just overkill... i tend to start a lot, hype all over the place, and not finish things, it's so frustrating, but focus is not my strong point, which annoys me to no end.
side note: zbrush is so friggin expensive 0_Β° - ok, maybe i'm too used to free stuff, "normal" 3d progs like autodesk's are even more expensive - no way i could ever afford it. so, if anything, it'll be sculptris... at some point.

Zbrush is ridiculously expensive. I would like to think it is worth the price. It is an epic 3D tool. I am using an older version right now and probably will not update until I have to. I justified buying it because I figured I would make my money back and then some. Still waiting for that one to happen. I haven't tried Hexagon since the 64 bit upgrade. The 32 bit version was always so buggy. Another one of those Daz purchases I had buyers regret over. Should have used a student version of 3DS Max or blender instead.

portisHeart In reply to MythosArcane [2018-02-15 17:46:36 +0000 UTC]
luckily i only paid 5$ for hexagon. i have the 2.5 beta too, for free, but i haven't installed it yet. i don't think it'll be more stable. i tried out cinema4d and 3dsmax a while ago at school, it was cool but yeah, the price. even cheaper doesn't cut it, i barely manage to feed us all. blender is per se a good idea, and ofc free - but i absolutely loathe the UI, i got frantic every time i tried to find my way thru it. also, it lags on my laptop, like, really. i deinstalled it, and use wings3d just to convert some formats. so, no modelling for me these days. but it's not a loss, there are soooo many things out there, why reinvent the wheel. i'd be happy if i managed to use all the stuff i have collected.

Sucks when your system is not up to the task. Β They just released the 64 bit non-beta version of Hexagon the other week. I installed it while I was downloading some freebies. Still have yet to launch it though.

i worked on ds with a friggin' netbook before XDD - and spent a lot of time swearing and cussing
i think i got hex 2.5 beta so if it's even worse than the 2.0 i have, at least i still have the old one, beta doesn't overwrite. did the same with ds - wasn't sure about 4.10, so i kept 4.9 (but stooopid me, i didn't update to the latest 4.9 version, i.e. G8 is not supposed to work on it yet - but haha somehow, it still loads, albeit with an err msg, wtf), and i got 4.10 beta besides. and i'm glad, since AoA's lights don't work in 4.10, and prolly other stuff too. anyways, if you create stuff render it & upload it here, i'd love to see what you come up with ^^
