Description
Introducing another crazy idea I had, it's Living Lab Dexstar or LivLab Dexstar for short.
Basically it's a tokusatsu reimagining of Dexter's Laboratory, which is basically a geek's way of saying dudes and ladies in brightly colored spandex or molded plastic (doesn't matter what it's made of really) beating the crap out of each other.
In this case, this is the story of the battle of good and evil between Dexter Milo Cavanaugh (a nice nod to both his voice actresses) and Suzaku "Suzan" Astronomanov, aka Mandark. They're gonna fight with the power of science and alien technology, how they get said tech will be revealed in the next post.
For now though, I'd like to talk about their personalities and who would be my ideal casting for them both.
For Dexter, I imagined him having the voice of the YouTube personality YamatoSFX, better known as Kirito from Sword Art Online Abridged by Something Witty Entertainment. Befitting that character's voice, he's bit of a sociopath.
Not saying he's a total saint or an irredeemable scoundrel, he's just that dude who probably hangs out on forums and makes snarky/meant comments on them. Plus, he has the same ego as the original and the occasional lack of social grace due to being hardwired to his work. Plus he has a love/hate relationship with his sister Dee Dee, usually on good terms with her when she isn't wrecking his stuff again.
Meanwhile, Mandark is a smooth talking, two-faced, egomanical psychopath that most would fall for in a second. He's like the embodiment of the phrase "Devil in Disguise."
Despite his attempts to look sophisticated and high brow, he usually ends up look like a complete tool, especially when he's in a good mood.
For his voice, the perfect man for the job is everyone's favorite pancake-loving sleuth himself: Goro Akechi! Oops, I mean Robbie Daymond.
Still, just like the original, he has both insufferable hippie parents and a total monster for a little sister named Olga.
With introductions and whatnot out of the way, here's to the second branch on the CN Multiverse tree I helped make.
