My entry for contest; New Princess.

I took a really old movie, changed the storyboard a bit, spend all the day drawing charachters and voila!
The story is based on the movie Ladyhawk, produced by Richard Donner. In the movie, spoiler spoiler, there's this couple, cursed by a priest (I think?) to be from eachother by turning the man to a wolf every night, and the woman to an hawk every day.

My version of it...

Ladyhawk
Princess Ranya lives in a faraway land, where her father used to rule. Now these days he is to old for that, and the crown would go to Ranya, if she only would marry a suitable man. Pravus, the kapten of the royal guard had long wanted to be king, and seek Ranya's hand, only to find out that she has fallen in love with one of his best soldiers. Pravus now thinks that the couple soon will wed, and his dream of become a king will come to an end. Therefore, he lay a curse on the couple. During the days, Ranya is transformed to an hawk, becoming human again once the sun sets. But then, her love will turn into a wolf during the whole night, until the sun rise and Ranya is back transformed to an hawk. They will never be able to touch eachother again, only to give there full loyalty as an animal. Their separation is driving them crasy.
Meanwhile, Pravus is the first in line to rule, since the princess is missing, and he crowns king. He rule with a firm hand over the people, who all are unknowing about his magical sorcess. But one night a local thief spy on the king as he performs secret magic. The king captures him and banish him from the country. Alone in the dark woods, the young thief meet a beautiful maiden with golden hair, and a protecting black rolf by her side. He learns about their sad story, and he tells them who must have laid the spell on them. Back in daylight, and Ranya in hawkform, and her love in human form, they travel back to the kingdom to face Pravus.
