Description
Well, a dragon.Perhaps I will do some more serious work on this dragon, those colours (and background!) may be just temporary.
I thought about just putting up the scratch, but then it would be more boring, so I quickly coloured this one, and just a dark background.
I'm not used to draw dragons, so I think this one come out kinda good, for a beginner ^^

Nice dragon! [^^]
The only dragon-drawing advice I can think to give at the moment would be about texturing his hide to make it look like he's got scales (if your dragons have scales, that is.). It can be difficult if you want to go really detailed and do every scale individually (that method is painstaking and miserable to go through, especially if your dragon has small scales, but it usually looks great when it's finished) or as simple as putting some dots at the point where the light shines on the dragon.

Thank you, and thanks for the fave!
As for the dragon, I agree with you. This was though a 'quicke' but it's a good advice. I want to do more dragons, so I should be focusing more on the shales then, thanks.

No problem!
Most of my quickies don't have scale patterns, either... At least not at first. I usually try to go back and do the scale pattern in patches at a time (if I like the picture enough) so for a while the poor things look like they have some sort of weird disease. Some of them I don't put in a scale pattern at all because I'm afraid I'll ruin the dragon. (its awful hard to erase penciled-in scales once you've got them going... Especially if you're the sort of person who naturally pushes down hard on the pencil when drawing. [I've been a traditional artist until I got Photoshop Elements 6 with my new tablet. Now erasing bad scale patterns can be as easy as deleting a layer or pushing the undo button. I haven't drawn many dragons with the program yet, though.])

Haha I agree with you. And I have serious problem drawing scales with a mouse, d'oh. I usually never do scales when I draw since it used to look weird, but it's just a matter of training ^^,

Practice makes, if not perfect, better. [^^]
I'm trying to figure out shortcuts to making scales in photoshop.

So far the only shortcut I've been able to find is makeing a scale pattern patch and copy-and-pasting it until the whole dragon is covered. It's probably not the best way, though.

Okay, well I've been trying that too, it works for some areas, but maybe not the best solution

It made my test case look kind of blotchy in some areas. But maybe I was doing it wrong...
