Description This is the colored version of the pencilled piece I did for ~metalmalis a few months back [link] . Here's what I originally had to say...

" "Riddle me this, riddle me that! Who's afraid of the big black bat?" It's Edward Nigma, otherwise known as The Riddler. I've actually never rendered this Batman villain before, but I hate that derby hat of his that he wears...so that went out the window! I have a hard time looking at the Riddler, without thinking of that infomercial guru that's always trying to get us a government grant...or a tax break on your business..."Those who know about the programs, are the ones that make the money!" LOL! "

Nice Riddler, I agree with you John Glover really was the riddler from the books. He really brought him to life. Very nice.

Yes, his voice was perfect for the character...very intelligent, but deadly! Thanks for the comment!

Very much so, the bowler works on that version of him but not the live versions. He has that inflection in his voice that goes a deadly side. Your welcome.

Ahhh the Riddler. My altime favorite Batman villain. Hehe. He does for me what Captain Cold is to Flash and Lex is to Superman.

Hehe.. Such a vibrant green suit that the man wears. Hehe.

Nice job with the position of his feet. you got his angles there quite well.

That guy in the commercials is so weird, and kinda funny, I guess.

Cool. I was actually just watching "Batman Forever" the other day and getting into hysterics over Jim Carrey's Riddler. "Does anybody else feel like a fried egg?!"

I think it's because a lot of comic book inspired artists are afraid or intimidated when drawing people in a suit instead of spandex...if you don't render it right, it doesn't look at all like it should. Thank you for the comment!

Yeah, I used to think of him too...but then I saw his and Tommy Lee Jones' campy performances (which was 100% the director's idea and "vision"...ugh ) , I couldn't get far enough away from that film...but it's still waaaaay better than Batman & Robin was! YUCK! For me, the only one in my mind as the true Riddler, was John Glover, who was the voice of the character of the Batman animated series. You may also know him as Lionel Luthor, on the hit WB tv series Smallville (he also co-stared in a Christmas classic, Scrogged! Yes, I know a thing er two when it comes to movies & tv!). Thank you very much for the comment!

Thank you very much for the comment! I had actually forgotten the lens flare I wanted on his cane, so I quickly edited it to include that. Again, thanks for the kind words!
