Some women embrace the word slut. Slut means "a woman who has many casual sexual partners", or in other words a promiscuous woman. Many women think there is nothing wrong with this and embrace the term. They see it as a negatively charged word which in actuality isn't an insult by it's very definition and so try to reclaim it (as I do) Other women see it as, yes degrading, however I see it though, I don't think being a slut, promiscuous or sexual active is automatically bad anymore than having sex in a monogamous relationship is automatically bad.
