Because of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society's policies on disfellowshipping, I lost contact with my parents, and my bro (for a while, but we managed to find a way to hang out with each other), and I also lost friends (at least a few of them stuck with me), I was disfellowshipped at age 19 for having an affair with someone else's partner (they also caught me smoking pot but that wasn't really the main case).
