They looks o colourful and shiny
Are they seriously 3D-work and not a photography?

Yup!! This 3D picture was created by a method called "ray tracing". Ray tracing is a technique for generating an image by tracing the path of light through pixels in an image plane. The technique is capable of producing a very high degree of photorealism, as well as simulating a wide variety of optical effects, such as reflection, refraction, scattering, and chromatic aberration

Looked really realistic, ecpesially that you could see the reflections of the balls in the others
I bow to your skillz

I think the white circle outlines need to be smoother or softer. the sharpness is too much.
But I love the reflections...

These balls look even more amazing than the ones I just commented xD
You're really talented at using 3dsmax. How is the user interface?
I like your gallery a lot because it's so... spontaneous... you take stuff that ordinarily wouldn't be all that great (pool balls, whoo, um, yay pool.) and turn it into an interesting composition!

Thank you very much, i'm pretty glad you like my 3d works
The interface of 3dsmax is friendly ([link] ) and the software has several tools to make complex objects from simple objects.
Be well

oh -- and can it render stuff like that?
π: 0 β©: 1
N7Dovahkiir In reply to AngelLover89 [2007-12-01 00:23:45 +0000 UTC]
Yes you can render stuffs like that and even more, thanks to a powerful render called Mental Ray, which is included in Max. The user interface isn't confusing once you learn how to use it, i guarantee
You can get a free trial of the product here -> [link]
Be well

Wow i like this, it's really cool. The colours are great because of there high contrast and shinyness. The lighting has been really well done.
