Sean Penn, you may know him for his work in I am Sam, Mystic River, 21 grams, Dead man walking...and many more.
I admire his work, and I've always wanted to draw this picture of him, but I didn't feel prepared until now. I chose this title because of his role in the movie We're no angels (with Robert De Niro). That's one of my all time fave movies, and I love his work on it.
As you know if you've followed the wip, I've loved to do this drawing, and hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I've enjoyed drawing it. This time I've mostly used circulism.

No me extraΓ±a que lo tengas en el cuadro del favorito. Es una pasada. has conseguido una perfecta expresiΓ³n de la cara del personaje y un toque de realismo inmejorable. Es casi hasta palpable. Me ecnatan la svenas de la mano y el pelo del bigote.
La pelΓcula "yo soy Sam me parece la mejor (sobre todo por la banda sonora de versiones de The Beatles).
Un trabajo de 10 para arriba y para colgar en las paredes de la habitaciΓ³n de Dios.

Yo Soy Sam es muy buena, y como dices, la banda sonora una pasada!! cada vez que la ponen por la tele, la veo jaja. Aunque yo me quedo con "Nunca fuimos angeles" la vi de pequeΓ±a y me encanto

PapelΓ³n el de Penn en esa peli eh. Es difΓcil hacer un papel asΓ, cambiando bruscamente tu persona.

wonderful shading - the highlights are just brilliant. i'm always fascinated by how people can draw wrinkles, and you've certainly proved yourself here! the neck is incredibly well done!!

I really love this drawing! But I have a question for you: how do you give your drawings such good contrast? Because with my drawings for example the eyes don't come out and don't really get your attention....

Well, to get the contrast, for example on the skin, I work on a base tone, and then add a lot of shading on the darker areas (even more than in the reference picture, so I get a stronger contrast). And with the eyes, I think the key are the lights. I draw the irirs quite dark, but then I put several lights on it, which creates a lot of contrast. I keep the contour black, the pupil black, but I put a ot of light on the iris. I don't know if that made any sense, it's qite late, lol...
