I had never seen a church like this. At first I thought it could be a monument, a mixture of coliseum and... I don't even know how to define it. The mood of the place seems to be a bit tenebrous... The photo itself is quite impressive - the imponence and strangeness of the building give it strenght and it was smart of you to include the person dressed in orange in the composition, since the floor ocasionally has the same colour. An other aspect I found interesting was the direction of the light focus, giving the impression that the person standing there is special and was chosen for something - it also reminds of a stage where the main actor is about to perform... But since you mentioned he was a believer, then i see in that light the comunication established between him/her and a higher entity. Well, after all this talk, I can only say that i like it. Congratulations and "Shana Tova" to you.
