Description
The best I could do as far as capturing the Pantheon's much-celebrated oculus. An AMAZING building that is AMAZINGLY standing after continuous use for about 2000 years. For more info on this incredible building, see [link] and the many photos and links on that page.Related content

every time i stop inside the Pantheon, in this very position, i can perceive perfectly the shape of the virtual sphere contained therein.

Many, many, many people have photographed it, better than I can, but I still like the photo.

The Pantheon is my favourite place in Rome. When I go back there this summer, one of the first things I'm going to do is go have hot chocolate at one of the cafes in the Pizza Rotunda. And I love that the rain just falls right in.

I was in Rome over Thanksgiving for around 6 days and I think I visited the Pantheon 3-4 times. One night my friend and I just stood out in front under the overhang while it poured. It was nice and dry.

Thanks. It's long been a dream of mine to SEE the oculus. One disappointment was that I had read somewhere that rain that falls through into the Pantheon doesn't cause any puddles because it dissipates before it hits the floor. However, I visited several times during my trip and one day after a rain there was a huge puddle in the middle of the floor. But I still love the oculus!
