Description
Hes always trouble with his noncomplacentShotgun eyes, shotgun eyes.
His subtlety, his mystery
Not like the other guys.
Shes always taken by his reputation
Hes so bad, hes so bad.
On Saturday night, theyre running for the shadow
You say your heart ain't ever been broken
You think you know where you're going-
Tidal wave,
Tidal wave, come rushing over me.
You say this life has given you nothing,
You got another thing coming.
Tidal wave,
Tidal wave, come rushing over me.
He'll get a warning sign to keep his distance
From her old man, from her old man.
Now the story of forbidden love
Has gotta make a stand.
So in the middle of the early morning
They'll slip away, slip away-
And we know they'll do their best
Somewhere in the golden west.
Oh yeah, and well watch them drive
They're so alive.
You say your heart ain't ever been broken
You think you know where you're going
Tidal wave,
Tidal wave, come rushing over me.
You say this life has given you nothing-
You got another thing coming.
Tidal wave,
Tidal wave, come rushing over me.
Tidal wave.
These tidal waves are caught off track
Come tomorrow, cause I cant go back.
Come together, cant you see
Tidal wave gonna cover me.
These tidal waves are caught off track
Come tomorrow, cause I cant go back.
Come together, cant you see
Tidal wave gonna cover me.
Cover me-
I cant go back
Cant you see...

Just needed a little vent art.. I might edit this in the future because I see some things I need to fix, but for now I'm going to leave it alone.
I also want to say thank you to all of my watchers for being so kind and supportive of my artwork- you guys are the reason I keep drawing.

Wow! This is an awesome piece! I love the half-submerged-ness, and how it seems so calm underwater as apposed to the storm going on over the water.
This is just sooo awesome!

Thank you! Making it half submerged was really difficult until I had all the parts in place and on different layers, from there it was a piece of cake.

Yeah, that sounds hard. o__o I'd never have the patience to do anything like that. ;;

dude fuck me sideways. (sorry, escuse my french, i get excited by skill ) that is amazing. this picture is so good!! you did a super good job on the whole half-submersed picture. i can never do them beause i get to the point where you have to change from surface to underwater and i have no clue how to go about it so i just erase the whole thing :] lol!! this is really good.
its crazy how you do your best works when you honestly have a 'fuck everything i hate life -stabself-' attitude. at least, that always works for me. lol!

xD
Thank you for the compliments, and the watch too! I'm glad you like it. It's one of my favorites too, I always get really serious and my art improves when I feel angry or upset.
I looked at ocean settings and things for a while before I started this to get a feel for what it might look like, and also found inspiration all around deviantart. I suggest browsing around, there may be a few tutorials you could look at for half-submerged pictures!

This is beautiful. The character and the scene compliment each other very well color wise, and i like how the curves of the mane mimic the curve of the wave. simply perfection.

Wow thank you so much! I appreciate the nice comment and the fav!
I hadn't noticed the mane did that, but now that I look at it, I see it! Maybe I just had that flow in my mind as I did the lines.

As everyone's already told you, the job you did on the water here is stunning...kudos for actually tackling this kind of picture, with the above-water and under-water elements in one go. Personally, I quite like some of the less obvious work you put into this too...namely the tail floating on the water and the lighting. Nice picture.

Thank you! Truth be told, I actually forgot his tail until the very last minute. That was the finishing detail.
I attempted to make it look like the eye of a hurricane with the sun shining through for a moment, but I've never seen a real one so it was difficult. Few people can give you a reference for something like that!

I'll bet. xD That's up there with trying to get a reference shot of the inside of a tornado...I think you got it pretty well though. It's a weird, unnatural-looking thing in reality, so most likely no one would feel like they'd done a 100% job capturing it on screen.

This is so neat! I love how you paint waves, water and whatnot. I love his litle hooves striking through the water.

It was my first.. well, real attempt at water. I am fairly proud of it, hehe.

... aaaa... so gorgeous Look at those waves!
But wouldn't he electrify the water?

Haha! That's the same thought I had at first when I wanted to draw this!
He could if he wanted to, but he has the ability to stifle his powers when need be so he doesn't kill the little fishies.

Aw, how kind of him to think of the fishies.
(but I do think it would be awesome if you did draw him in electric water... forget the fish )

Perhaps I should work on a follow up to this picture.. after the wave crashes over him. *plots*

Wee! I'm really proud of how the water looks, but I only wish I could be as good at backgrounds as you are! I'll be practicing though!

Thanks! I've been trying to draw my own backgrounds lately instead of slapping on photoshop grass brushes and a blue sky.

I think the waves are a very nice touch. The tossing and turning of the ocean is always a good representative of your feelings if you're frustrated or anything. It's very well done.

Thanks, I really haven't drawn water like this before so it was sort of intimidating at first, but I admit that I am proud of how it came out.
And I usually try to channel most of what I need to say into a picture or I'd be ranting right and left in journals- I'm a drama llama, guilty as charged! (But it's not like I don't already rant in journals, it would just be.. worse.)
