Description
A public service announcement I did for my graphics class. We had to choose an ailment/disease, and an organization associated with it; I chose depression and To Write Love on Her Arms.This is the second of two designs that would be used as posters. I personally like this one the most out of the two.

It amazes me that people can write off depression as a minor thing.
I myself don't suffer from it, but I can only barely imagine what pain it must cause.

I totally agree. While there are varying degrees and specifics to depression (some less potent than others), there are still very serious afflictions out there. I personally don't suffer from it either, but there are people close to me that have/are.
It's a sad thing to have to sit by when a friend is going through something like that.

Thank you so much. I'm glad it had an affect on you. I personally don't have depression, but as times goes on I learn just how important the concept in this poster is to life in general.

This reminds me of the drug awareness posters I see around. Very simple but gets it's message across clearly.

I went and checked out the website on your poster. I'd never heard of the organization before but I like what I've seen so far and I'm totally gonna check more out. I think it might help me, support from someone other than some old therapist.

It is an amazing organization. I personally have a friend who was touched by it (and I was too). It's all about loving people. How incredible is that?

I realy like this, it gets the message across, quite well.
I know that there are treatments available, i was on Fluoxetine for about a year and a half; but it made me feel like, well that i couldn't feel anything besides anger (and that was muted) actualy. I stopped taking it after that.

I have ups and downs with depression, currently i am in an up phase; my doctor says it is stress induced
