What is Sta.sh?
Sta.sh is a new system for submitting art to dA. You can find the link in your 'submit' menu.

Why use it?
Main advantages are that you can submit deviations faster, from more places (currently with apps for android , iPhoto , mac , iOS , etc., as well as from email and FTP ) and you can keep them private if you want. You can then share it only with those people you want - for example to ask their opinion before submitting it to your gallery.

How to submit?
Submitting basically happens in two parts.
Upload the file

Image- and other files
Submit files from your computer by clicking Upload to Sta.sh (choose the file from your computer in the popup). Most browsers (at least Chrome, Firefox, Safari) support selecting multiple files at once here, that Sta.sh will then upload one by one into a new stack.
These browsers also support drag and drop for one or more files; open Sta.sh in one window, open your folder with the file(s) in another, and drag the file(s) from the folder to Sta.sh.
Literature
For literature, there's Sta.sh Writer ("Write to Sta.sh"). It's a WYSIWYT editor (What You See Is What You Type); this means you can choose if you want to use HTML codes or rich text (or both). In the writer, you can choose to write up your deviation and use the formatting buttons, or paste rich text from somewhere else - say, the Word file where you wrote it. You can also add html codes manually. All formatting in the original file should be transferred over.

Muro
There is no option to submit a muro drawing directly to Sta.sh yet. You can however draw in deviantART muro , choose "export image" (under "File"), save the file to your computer and submit it like any other file.
Edit and Publish
Once the file is in your Sta.sh and uploaded, the next you do is edit it! Hover over the thumb in Sta.sh, then go over the title and click "edit". Now you can choose a title, category, licence, etc. In the right hand menu choose whether you want to publish the piece to your gallery and watchers, or leave it hidden as a Sta.sh (untick "my deviantART Gallery" etc.). You can also submit it to a group right there (also allowing you to submit exclusively to a group) or if it has the right specifications, as a print (also allowing you to submit a print without a [public] deviation attached).

Stacks
When you submit a bunch of files at once as described above, it automatically becomes a stack. You can also merge deviations into a stack by dragging and dropping a file on top of another, or selecting several files and use "File > Merge Selected". You can also click "Upload Files" on the stack page to add new pieces. To remove a Sta.sh deviation from a stack, go with the mouse over the thumb, and choose "Move to Sta.sh".
Sharing
Before publishing, you can share a sta.sh deviation by giving them the "Quick share" link to the top right of the deviation page. You can also share an entire stack the same way.
It doesn't work right! D:
Sta.sh, and especially sta.sh writer, are relatively new and in development still. So some hiccups can happen! To report it contact the Help Desk .
