I keep returning to the Japanese fox spirit motif. But this one is rather different from my other renditions. Instead of being in profile, the fox is leaping over the nose, with it's nine tails spread across the face behind it. The coloration is also very different- a striking white with flame-like red detail and dark blue gem in the center. Interesting, and the white red, and black painting is good...but why is there a blue gem in the center?
I doesn't really make sense for that to be there. But I love Kitsune and I enjoy the use of the semi-traditional red flame paterns.

It's got a few blue details, very fine. Many of the old kitsune masks were red, white, and blue.

Yeah, I noticed those too, it was just that the blue jewel doesn't have much of a reason to be there, smack in the middle of one of the larger tails. It would seem like a jewel would make sense in the fox's forehead (if the forehead was larger), or jewels for eyes, or if the fox was circled around a jewel or chasing it, but it felt weird to me that it was in the middle of a spread out tail.
I don't know, it just felt like "and let's put a jewel because jewels are pretty!" to me. It's your mask, so do what you want with it.
[The only reason I mention these things is because I felt like this one would have worked better without a jewel at all, or if the jewel had been incorporated differently. That said, I have no idea how you make the mask, and I couldn't do anything like this in the first place, so you are way more skilled than me here.]
