I actually like how the water type looks honestly. I like the fact he has a circus clown theme to him as well with the nose and such... plus given I often disable my character i play in my mind, but also te fact he just tries so hard and looks so bubbly!
But IMO I think all the starters are cute, even piplup chimchar and chespins. :3 piplup was my fave back in his time! aaah... so awesome. But i digress. XD I love what y did here though!

Same I really hope they don't go the route of chespin though where it was "omg cute- Okay thats still cute- HOW DO I HUG YOU!? 8C" since i do like the evolution but it took a bit to grow on me after such adorableness becoming terror 8c.

Piplup was considered a non-desirable starter?! o_O I'm not really offended, just surprised since that was my favorite of Sinnoh and my very first starter (I'm late to the party, started with Diamond >.>)
I can't say I like Popplio, he kinda just looks like a clown seal, but I don't really care for Rowlett either. And Litten's design is alright. I just want to see what these three turn out to evolve into x3

I've seen a shit ton of hate for Popplio on Facebook. They were ridiculous, harsh and completely unnecessary. Like calling it "useless" or "stupid" or "ugly" or even "what the fuck is this shit? it looks so shitty! we don't need more fucking seals, nobody is gonna pick it. pokemon is so fucking shitty now" :/
I've got friends who enjoys Popplio and I'm pleased to hear it. It's got a really fun personality judging by its entrance in battle. I mean, I'm personally picking up Litten and sis is picking up Rowlet, but we'll happily accept a Popplio if someone trades one to us. And who knows? Maybe Popplio would get an extremely awesome evolution line. I just feel so sorry for it.
