Arguably the best season of the Pre-Movie Spongebob, allow me to elaborate my thoughts on Season 2.

Major improvements on Season 2 was Animation, humor, & plot:
-The Animation transitioned from Gel Animation to digital ink, becoming more fluid & polished.
-Execution in humor at its peak, the most memorable & memeable moments in Spongebob.
-Plot has improved, with some episodes improving on pacing & beginning.

The downsides? Season 2 is still plagued with twists that led nowhere or even episodes such as "Sailor Mouth" that flandered Spongebob, that's right, even past seasons Spongebob had a case of flanderization that pushes Spongebob naive nature a bit too far.

Plenty of episodes from C to D aren't episodes I would recommend, as they're plagued with a loose plot leading to twist endings that had no tangent nor was it ever hinted in the episode itself, Characters that were commercially dumbed down or the staff/leadership forgot writing Spongebob characters.

Episodes ranked from A to S are what I recommend, episodes that interest me with an illustrative plot that worked best with Character Chemistry (Spongebob's optimism & serenity in contrast to Squidward's nihilism & narcissism), episodes that engaged me with little to even no filler; making every minute absolutely enjoyable to witness.
