After reviewing the highly praised works from the Hillenburg age of Spongebob, does Spongebob still hold up after nearly 24 years?

Upon looking at my tier list above, the 1st season did suffer from similar 1st seasons in their humble beginnings as their rough draft, let's dissect the birth of Spongebob.

The 1st Season of Spongebob is unique at separating 2 different art styles between Gel animation & digital ink, the animation possessed similar nostalgic works when Ren & Stimpy remained dominant in Nickelodeon; art that many other Nickelodeons shows replicated since the 90s.

Animation has suffered inevitably from age with saturation from Spongebob being a bit out of place compared to the 2nd season, but retained the colorful image that Hillenburg wanted to replicate his marine biological works.

As for the writing? The avalanche of C tier episodes are a red flag, with many episodes suffering from:

A.) Plotholes (For Ex: SB-129's problems on padding issues, inconsistencies when Squidward gets locked up at the KRUSTY KRAB'S FREEZER! You'd think Spongebob wouldn't notice since he'd work full time?)

B.) Flanderization (Episodes such as Nature Pants is extremely out of character for Spongebob as a dedicated worker who's Patrick's closest friend)

C.) Padding/Pacing (Many episodes from the 1st season were rather slow, with the lack of plot buildup in episodes such as Opposite day, episodes that dragged out with excessive filler in the middle such as F.U.N, or episodes with a lackluster execution such as SB-129.)

Again, it's the 1st season & I wouldn't be so ruthless with the writing at its time, Season 1 episodes ranked A to S are good examples of Spongebob being experimental, episodes that worked beautifully in execution based off of character chemistry or with clever twists (Such as Scaredy Pants).
