Original characters. It's a scene from my story. My brother kept on telling me to make him cry... but I didn't think it suited his character. The girl in his arms is his fiance. But he wanted to marry her for political reasons...*_*

What a great picture. Nice. It sorta reminds me of myself, though I'm alive! And sometimes I ask myself, why I am I still here? My friend's got a girlfriend now and everyday, I seem to be really upset when I think about. How did I let him slip away like that, when I thought you know maybe we could be one day. He realizes my pain but at times I feel that he's just ignoring me. But I can understand when I hardly ever get to see him and all. His parents and my parents are family friends but...our parents don't seem to like a guy and a girl being with each other, especially when they're all grown up. As you go through puberty, our parents think it's better if a girl and a guy keep a distance from each other. Our parents are really overprotective and strict. At times I would feel you know, what if I killed myself...only then he would see that I really loved him. But after telling him what I've been doing to myself, he was really upset...he was really angry...but he comforted me and looked into my eyes and told me he would always be there for me. Even if were not together, and it was his fault not seeing that for many years, he said that he'd always be there for me as a friend. And that just hurts me even more, 'cause the things he said, just makes me want him even more. People don't understand that, but I wish they did. Great shot again by the way... I have to fav this. This picture has some good meanings behind it.

it kinda reminds me of a movie called crave of the fireflies.. there's brother who does his best to save her lil sister from starving but the sis dies. it's a sad movie..

I love how you did this. Looking at the sketch and then the finished version, you added so much mood it's amazing. The way the colors aren't comletly blended is a nice touch too.

you colour in opencanvas too....!! before from the thumbnails i always thought it was painter (it's so great~) but now i look closer at the full.view,.,,yeah, definately openC strokes. but you mastered it so well T_T i think the reflection is one of the most beautiful parts of the picture (^w^ of course, the guy is beautiful too XDD

You emphasized the gloomy mood very well with the dark grey-tone colors around.. but the characters remain brighter than the surroundings, and that keeps my focus! And I swoon at the way you colored the water and reflection *__* it's so perfect...

Wow, stunningly powerful and emotional piece of artwork. I am in awe on how every elements work in excellent, imperishable balance to establish such an intense feeling. I really believe that the setting and they way you rendered it create such haunting atmosphere; I feel like the setting of the picture is located the fringe of the city that is full of crime, frustration and sadness - along with the ruins of the building I sense there's a hint of hopeless feeling throughout the picture. This sense of hopelessness is further enhanced through the motionless lady with her still hands, the carelessly blown hair and her blood running down the street with the reflection of it - truly, I strongly emptahize towards the characters and what they have been through. Though for some reason, I feel that a new hope arising as the lady dies judging by the colourful reflection. Hmmm... I just feel that the portrayal of the scene suggests that the death of the lady is for the better
Moreover, I find it highly powerful the way the guy glances at the reflection of the water with blood drops from his forehead - it shortly appears that he's crying a lot that his tears have turned into blood (kind of a mixture of deep sorrow and anger I must say - it seems to me that he reflects upon his tragic past by looking at his own reflection in the water. Very, very intense!). I can also see how strong his relationship with the lady judging from the way he embraces her, it just vividly shows how protective he is and how sorrowful he is for the lady's death. Furthermore, the poignant atmosphere is intensified with the raindrops falling - the viewers can vividly picture how quiet and haunting the setting is (when I viewed this artwork I imagined of the corner of the street with raindrops being the only source of sound in the middle of quite, silent night

Nicely done! The colors that you used help convey the emotion in the picture very well, and I really like how you did their reflections in the puddle.
The only thing I would point out, though, is the background in the left side of the pictue, against the wall and on the ground. It kind of looks a little.. flat. Like you only used one or two layers of color on it.
Other than that, though, great pic, and keep up the good work
