You know what's the greatest about this? It looks finished!! 
I love the visual play of the bird going down and the person up. Not only do we know that birds fly and people don't but their placement on the page works well with the arrows visually--object weighting top with arrow pointing down.
The thing that I didn't notice at first glance is the opposing arrows in the big ones. I love the look of it because it further switches the direction of movement, but it also cancels out some of the movement. Instead of my eyes moving around in a nice circle, and the girl feeling like she's floating, the two figures feel a little stalemated. Like they're suspending in clear gelatin instead of free-floating weightlessly. Not that those small arrows are good or bad (without them there might be too much movement), it's just something that I noticed.
PS - I have a story of sorts that you could illustrate. ;D

Hehheh, very cute and wonderfully simplistic picture. I really enjoy how you colored this one, and how you added those details on the arrows. I also enjoy how you shaded the girl's hair and how you shaded the bird. Very awesome
