Freddy is so sick of hearing about fans making him all lovey dovey and sentimental over girls in fan-fictions and seeing it all drawn out in their art. It's always him and their OC's(which in fan girl language means "ME"). And somehow they think that by making the girl a "tough bitch" or "not human" will change things....it truly doesn't. There are so many of these love fan-fics out there.I can't blame Freddy for getting pissed, love isn't his thing...and I'm on the verge of puking myself.

It sucks how the majority of slasher/OC fics are like this. >_< I'll be honest, I have written a few and I support a few, but the important thing is the keep everyone in-character. Freddy doesn't seem like the type for love, whether it's Freddy/canon or Freddy/fancharacter. However, I will read it if it's very well-written.

Yeah. There's GOT to be some originality...something that just works in any fan-fic.
I'm sick of the OCs that are dressed like Freddy in some way...I'm sick of them! I HATE "Mary Sues"(as my friend calls them). Theyre pointless and boring....they put people way out of character. It's disappointing.

I also hate them. VERY annoying... self-inserts are just as bad. Well, comedic stories about self-inserts are okay, but not serious ones. That just pisses me off.

Unfortunately, a lot of evil and badass characters are subjected to this. While some of them are okay, it's only because they keep him in character. Other's make him this sentimental, 'oh, well, I was only acting bad, but in reality it was only because I couldn't find love!' or something like that.

How ironic that, in the remake, Freddy was made darker, more serious, and angry as heck at these kids, and because of these changes, delusional fangirls start making more craptacular fanfiction about Freddy going soft on their self-inserts as if it were a "Twilight" rerun.
I mean, come on! In the remake, Freddy's "thing" for Nancy wasn't meant to be a cheer-them-on slash pairing -- it was pedophilia! And if you ask me, it only made Freddy creepier, in a good way. Too bad these fangirls didn't QUITE get the message about the "pairing" being disgusting, creepy and one-sided, and instead made fanfics to celebrate it......
Actually that's creepier than the entire "Nightmare" series put together.
(And for the record, I think the remake's underrated. Not better than the original, just not as bad as people say it is.)

Well, if you think about it, he molested AND abused the kids. If you'll remember, there were scars on one girl. Plus, being molested at that age tends to give mental scars to the victims. Granted, he wasn't AS evil as he was in the original, but he was a sick psychopath nonetheless...... at least I think so.

He was. But taking out the whole murdering aspect took away alot of the intimidation Freddy had. If they allowed JEH's Freddy to be a molester/killer....it would have REAAAALLY brought a new level of evil.

Just what was the point of having the jump rope girls in the remake then if all the characters had some connection with him when they were younger? in the original movies, they were used as a warning sign for freddy's next victims.

And I have to admit, using the kids as warning signs is a heck of a lot creepier. I think the kids were thrown in to add to the atmosphere, but that's just me. Or maybe it was paying tribute to the original.
