LOOK OUT FREDDY!Honestly.
I just had to do this! haha. So many people are crossing the Nancy Thompson/Nancy Holbrook lines. Nancy and I agree we like her to be left out of that mixed arena
I do like the remake....but Nancy Thompson is my all time favorite character....and I'd much rather have her and Holbrook left in the two different universes. Nancy Thompson is perfectly awesome as she is

Exactly. I don't mean to sound like a purist, but I disregard the remake altogether.

Nancy Thomson owns Holbrook by every standard. Nancy would kill the remake Freddy simply by beating him with the coffee maker. The new freddy is a whimp compared to the original freddy. It's not that i did not like JEH's acting, i mean he was great! But the new freddy in genral is horrible. Same with Holbrook. They both were the most whimpy nightmare character's i've seen.
And wow really? People are crossing Nancy's lines? NO! No one should ever do that! Nancy is my hero and she should not be dis-honored by that.
NANCY... the real one... Shall live on!!
Great pic by the way, i've also seen your Youtube channal and your opinions are great! Same with the music vids!

I'm kind of scared to see the remake, I wouldn't want anything about NOES to be ruined for me, you know?

Yeah. But I saw, go see it. After I watched it...I went home and watched the original. It made me love the original so much more.

I saw the remake, and I was just wondering....does Rooney Mara's voice sound really weird to you? Like, it sounds like her mouth is filled with cotton. It makes me think she's got plastic surgery or something, hence her expressionless performance.
Also, was it just me or was the ending completely identical to Freddy vs. Jason? I was disappointed Nancy needed her big strong boyfriend to fight Freddy, instead of being resourceful like the superior original Nancy did.
I did like the bits of back-story, but I'm a serious sucker for back-stories.
Freddy's one-liners were AWFUL. 'Wakeup, you're bleeding.' or 'Why are you screaming? I haven't even cut you yet.' Who wrote those?!
Overall, the movie just....lacked. It felt empty, like it had no reason.

It's funny, most horror movies have jump scares that startle me, but the scares were so predictable and lame that I wasn't startled one bit.

I'm actually glad! Now I don't feel like a bad NOES fan for wanting it. I watched the original the night before, and I was sorely disappointed that there was no Donald Thompson. :C Weirdly, I noticed that everyone in the remake had only one parent. Nancy just had her mum, same with Kris, and Quentin just had his dad.

Yes they are. Nancy T. and Nancy H. are both well developed, realistic, likable characters. Although, I love Nancy H. a little bit more. Just a wee bit more.
That's alright. Everyone has their own opinion.

I definitely have no problem with that. Even though Nancy Thompson is my life....I absolutely respect your preference.
But I'm curious...why do you love Holbrook so much? I'm not trying to ask as if it were hard to believe...but because I am so passionate about Nancy Thompson, and I know why many people like Freddy....but the main females are never discussed...so I'm just looking for inputs Gotta get the gals out there!

Thank you for respecting my opinion, Nancy.
I love Nancy Holbrook, because I can relate to her in some ways. For example, I was never with the popular crowd, I'm pretty socially awkward, and because I'm an artist. And I also admire how she was able to keep her head together despite all the crazy shit going on around her.
I know right? The Elm Street chicks need love too.

Well. I don't have a TON of friends, but I have enough. People consider me the "girl next door"...and I'm always said I am a natural leader. I don't let people walk all over me. My mother has actually told me that I face things when I "should sometimes back away". People always tell me I walk like I have a purpose and they consider me brave and come to me for advice. I wanted to be a children's psychiatrist but I recently decided it won't allow me enough time with them. I'd be a psychologist but jobs are difficult to find.
