I think remakes aren't as good with Horror movies because they dont get the same actor!
Like I love Freddy Krueger but ROB ENGLUND's Freddy, not that guy from 2010 remake
But i am DYING to see the Child's Play remake (Though the original can never be topped but 2011 animatronic Chucky should be cool compared to 1988 Chucky) said to be coming 2011 because they're actually getting Brad Dourif to be Chucky again!! Without Brad Chucky would NOT be the same!

Remakes are intended to be a different take with different actors...Rob certainly is Krueger but I would have been a little upset if they brought Rob back. Mostly because it's like they're redoing the original because it wasn't good enough and there is already ONE and ONLY ONE Nancy and that is Heather Langenkamp. Bringing Rob in would've felt like Heather, Amanda, Jsu, Johnny, etc were being replaced.
It'll be great to have Brad do Chucky's voice. I'm interested to see if it gets bashed as much when the original actor returns.

He seems like a great guy. I was watching a vid on YouTube and pretty much flipped because he had no line at a convention. I was like WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME THIS IS PINHEAD! He's adorable too(I wanna pinch his cheeks)!

Fans don't want them. They're being made simply for money...the originals are good as is. People re-shoot scenes because the ones they previously filmed were not good enough. You don't re-shoot a scene if it's perfect...same goes for movies.

He absolutely is. He clearly and truthfully points out absolutely everything wrong about remakes and right about the public's view and the remake itself. From now on I plan to quote Doug when referring to the unnecessary production of remakes.
