from reference to digital painting, please do remind, when you use ref to create art, make sure you at least, learn something,many of you may already saw this on my Facebook page, just wanted to post it here for those who havent seen these, for more insights

What is the your spinning in the background on the last photo?
I've also noticed that in most reference photos your eyes are closed, but the picture you draw have open eyes. Is it easier to reference from?

it was simply because I wanted to make the eyes opened I guess,
just like I said, painting based from a ref doesnt mean I "copy" exactly the original, lolz I got skills man, something like that is no big deal to me

3) you have a lot more confidence than me to post these haha

4) this is very educational/inspiring! I somehow had it instilled in my head when I first started drawing that referencing was bad, so I've always been hesitant to use them, but I see how really useful they are! and that some of the best still reference is comforting, too

Did you put your camera on a timer to take those pictures, or did someone else snap the photo while you did your pose? This is a great idea, btw. I never thought of using oneself as the model to create more complex pictures.
